One of the great things about Dance Church is that it’s family friendly, and happens at 11a on Sunday mornings. However, this also means that DJs must self-censor their tracks a bit to ensure that they are suitable for younger audiences.

DC Expansion are intended to be similar to Dance Church in virtually all ways, except that they are limited to adults only. This enables the DJs the opportunity to have full creative expression with no limitations. The intention is to keep DC Expansion otherwise similar to Dance Church in virtually all other ways, including the amazing energy and vibe.

The first DC Expansion event occurred on New Years Eve 2017/2018 in Minneapolis and I was very fortunate to be the first DJ to perform at it. The temperature never got above -5, but everyone dancing kept the room nice and hot.

Here is my mix from the inaugural DC Expansion. It follows a familiar Dance Church flow with global beats increasing in energy through disco house, but then things get a bit more extreme around 1.5 hours into it. There is some explicit language, so it’s best to use headphones if you are listening in the presence of those that may be easily offended.
